I certainly believed the news and the government proclamations when I was much younger. If the government or the news said something, I assumed it was correct. But I don't believe them anymore. I have lost faith in the honesty and integrity of our government, especially the federal government. I started losing my faith in the government well before the covid scam but the covid scam absolutely sealed the deal. I now believe almost nothing that the government says about anything. It all seems to be a deliberate manipulation. The government routinely withholds information from us, exaggerates other information and blatantly lies to us. But it's not just the government that I have lost faith in. Our biggest institutions including large businesses, the legacy news, the medical establishment, universities and virtually all 3-letter agencies of the Federal government all actively cooperate in scams for some of that $9T government payout. It's a very sad state of affairs. I will extend what you said a bit further by saying nearly any conspiracy—past, present or future—not only seem possible they seem likely.

The ongoing covid scam has opened many eyes and ears that will no longer unquestioningly trust the government, media, politicians, or celebrity "influencers." That's probably the only good that's come out of the last 4 years.

In addition to the fallout you mentioned post 9/11, it also gave us the Dept. of Homeland Security, the TSA, and the Patriot Act.
