About 35 years ago, while I was hitch-hiking in the late afternoon at the edge of Victoria, British Columbia, an amiable, forty-ish, brown haired, average-sized Canadian rocking a dark t-shirt and a bushy mustache stopped for me.
This is your best yet! I’m sending it to my friends. I wish it would be published in the New York Times. This is the most logical piece about the pandemic yet. Thank you.
Thanks for asking me. Was it an odd thing to say? Perhaps. I suppose I felt that way because it's about death and other taboo subjects. I am very much looking forward to each of your writings. I hope I have time to go back and catch up.
Thanks, Laurie. I didn't mean to criticize your comment. I just wanted to understand it.
As so many have been asked to wreck their lives to ostensibly--but not actually-- prevent the deaths of a relatively small, and largely old, unhealthy group, I thought it's been unfair and very destructive to the young and to the society--the herd--in general.
Death is a part of life. We should all reckon with this. And talking about death doesn't shorten anyone's life. Recognizing that we'll die should make us live more appreciatively and purposefully.
Thanks Mark, I didn't take your question as anything more than a request for more information about my statement. :) Fighting death is a strange obsession. I ponder if it comes more from a fear of what's next or a desire to stay with the herd. At what cost to the herd does a tooth & nail fight to stay alive prove worthy? I hope this makes sense. Have we all thought about the cancer scenario? I know we're supposed to "fight" to live as hard as we can with any means at our disposal or even not at our disposal. But I question...when a person fighting cancer drags their herd through years of pain, suffering, and sacrifice is the cost to the herd greater than it should be? Even if the herd says they want to go through the "fight" is it in their best interest? Emotionally and financially?
Excellent piece, though I must disagree on one point.
I take your point about the elderly having lived full lives and the inevitability of their deaths, but politicians like Cuomo and Hancock, actively and purposefully placed them in harms way.
Either by forcing nursing homes to take patients that they were forbidden to test for C19 (Cuomo) or by the administering of 3 years worth of the end of life drug midazolam in care homes during spring 2020 (Hancock).
These elderly people may very well have been near to the end of their lives, but they were forcibly pushed over the edge and their sacrifice used to artificially increase the death rates used to scare the global population into submission.
I got death penalty from Twitter for comments on Cuomo and elderly deaths...what I thought was involuntary manslaughter. Back in June 2020 or so. Btw, he lies about his religion, as does Francis , fake Pope. You deny one Catholic teaching, you ain't Catholic
Agreed, though I think it speaks volumes about the lack of morality of some politicians and the evil they are prepared to perpetrate for "the greater good".
Remember also that the fear and isolation of the elderly was entirely manufactured and amplified by these same evil people.
Even now that Uttar Pradesh has effectively beaten C19 with ivermectin, the US and UK are still prohibiting it's use, when it could be helping to save lives.
It seems like every decision the global governments have taken has been counter to what would have worked best.
I am even more convinced that the entire thing, from day 1, has only ever been about control, especially with the revelations that Fauci has had his hands in the mix for years and the cdc/who changing definitions of pandemic, herd immunity, vaccine, to suit this particular event.
Once the herd stops the migration, the herd ceases to exist. Metaphorically speaking, we are being wiped because our herd has been stopped in our tracks so that greedy billionaires can move up a few notches on the richest scale and politicians, who were picked on as kids, can get a little payback, not to mention the fauci's of the world. Power corrupts. When will the silent majority stop being silent?
We have been almost destroyed... and it could get worse. God has exact moment when He will end this brutal chastisement He is allowing. And He allows evil for a greater good.
Yes, the lockdowns were destructive. That was the intent, though that intent was hidden from us by clever propaganda. Central bankers and other GloboCap ultra-wealthy investors, had run out of money, sort of 2008 v.2, on steroids. They had to find a way to cut demand for goods and services because there was no money available to lend to businesses. So, what better way to reduce demand, quickly, than to shutter national economies as completely as possible. Lucky for them, the corona bugaboo was rearing its ugly head, and they jumped on it as an excuse. Keep in mind that many of the really big billionaires who did this to us are heavily invested in a pharma-driven future investment scheme that is dependent on mass vaccination of the entire planet for years to come. Politicians and healthcare "officials" were/are wholly owned by the wealthy; we really have no sovereign governments left. The proof of this came from the head of Belarus, who publicly claimed the World Band and the IMF offered his country money IF they would shut down his country's economy. He turned it down; likely he was the only one to do so. From the perspective of the ultra-wealthy, lockdowns and their consequent damage were good things. They literally could not care less about the damage; we are like navel lint to them. We live in a 2-tiered world now that favors the ultra-wealthy at our expense, and the Great Reset is their next adventure for our society, an adventure on which they expect to make even more exorbitant profit. We are on our own, now. Link to Belarus article: https://i.redd.it/ktqp0uftvsw71.jpg
We all suspect we know the identities of the authors of this evil. I would love to know how they are still breathing fresh air, after all they have done.
Great piece, thank you! Another significant negative aspect of the insane lockdowns: near-universal weight gain, flippantly refers to as one’s Covid 20 (or whatever number of pounds applies). In a population already almost universally overweight, this added obesity will surely increase the cost — emotional, physical and economical— in the future.
Hi Mark et al: Here is a nice dose of evil to keep you all enraged and motivated:
I am a doc NNJ. One of my MD colleagues is an eye doc who was BORN WITH NO LEGS b/c of fetal exposure to thalidomide. He workds for valley hospital Ridgewood. He refused the vaccine and HE WAS FIRED> Please read this... story from the north-jersey .com news service.
I've had some one on one convos with various members of med exec committe over this and non of them are willing to stand up and say no , they are just all cowed obedient serfs following orders. Some of these people are near the end of their careers and could step up and say something. its a mass hypnosis induced by fear.
This essay is spot on. I was thoroughly disgusted with the oft-repeated phrase "It's worth it If it just saves one life ...". That's simply propaganda and part of the psyop to convince the gullible to go along with the plandemic. No one wants to be labeled "selfish" or the "killer of grandma".
NO, it's NOT worth it to ruin the lives of millions and subject the youth to despair and delayed education just to try to save the lives of a few oldies. The vast majority of those who die "with" Covid are over 70.
Wow! I feel so privileged to be able to be surrounded by so many talented writers. I’m learning and gaining perspective on things &/or writings I might not otherwise have come upon. You put into words my thoughts about life and death in regards to these lockdowns. I loved learning about the caribou’s in relation to the life/death cycle - very powerful and moving! Thank you so much for sharing this (and thank you to all the other writers sharing your work!).
Glad you remembered it. I modified it slightly and re-posted it b/c I didn't have many subscribers the first time I posted it. Now I do, and I wanted them to read it b/c I thought the (true) barroom story metaphor was compelling.
I wasn't a subscriber then, but I came across a link to it on Twitter, as well as your "When did it become unacceptable for old people to die?" post. I'm pretty sure, this was last year (2020) because I departed Twitter in January when when their censorship became insufferable.
I never locked down. Hubby and I tried to stick to our normal routine (easier because we are retired) but doing what we normally did (seeing friends, relatives, seeking out small family owned restaurants that were ready to punch someone from the Health Dept if they were ever told to shut down their livlihood, swimming in State Park lakes and having a picnic because our pool was closed, working out in a garage gym, hiking and cycling, having people over) set us apart from many we knew. We fought to have our gym, pool and clubs open back up. (Many of us went ROUGUE and did anyway)- These are the ones who came out unscathed. Sadly, many will be broken and damaged for a long time, or maybe forever. Great article!! (Great writing and analogies)! thank you!
TLDR. Conclusion: Your adult children are unmarried and childless and you blame the pandemic and its associated public health measures. Your internet writings reveal your obsession with control of the female body goes so far as to dictate when and how a woman must have her children. You likely planned your whole adult life to one day be a young and fit grandfather. Well plans are for fools and the times they are a changin'.
The same. You're still a troll who has accomplished nothing in life, can't think or write, and spends hours every day and in the middle of the night thinking about me.
I could block the 3 AM stalker/troll John's comments but other than his lies, he amuses me. He's not smart or well enough-informed to write a coherent, or even properly spelled, response. I like smacking him around.
In person, and unarmed, he wouldn't try this. And he should use his real, full name so as to further embarrass himself.
John. I think should march off to get your 4th booster soon. There is no better way to completely destroy your immune system and silence your offensive stupidity. Keep following the "science".....
Limited to my own circles, I have observed that those who watched television the most, appear to have been the most brainwashed by the propaganda.
I would say that it also leans towards those who mostly watch the BBC here in the UK.
There are a few excellent interviews with Prof. Dr. Mattias Desmet where he details how the psychological manipulation unfolded over the last 18 months.
There is also an old 10 minute interview on YT with Yuri Bezmenov that's definitely worth a watch.
My family, even when presented with undeniable evidence, have a complete mental block to any data that conflicts with their beliefs (such as Israel vs Uttar Pradesh, the +82% miscarriage rate for first trimester women or Pfizers efficacy of 0.7% ARR vs the advertised 95% RRR). Anyone already vaccinated is increasingly unlikely to even acknowledge the risk warnings now being exposed about the jabs.
Excellent!. My 5 siblings who went to better colleges (in view of most) than me were incredibly easy targets.
Secret societies would logically spend more effort on Ivy League and other esteemed places of learning. God kept me safe in Westchester Community College!! And, I am just a cynical mean old bastard
This is your best yet! I’m sending it to my friends. I wish it would be published in the New York Times. This is the most logical piece about the pandemic yet. Thank you.
Thanks, Stephanie.
I wrote it 18 months ago and posted it on Medium. They de-platformed me b/c I dared to criticize the vaxxes. So I put it on Substack.
It feels weird to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this writing but I did. Thanks for the facts and the perspective.
Why is that weird?
Thanks for asking me. Was it an odd thing to say? Perhaps. I suppose I felt that way because it's about death and other taboo subjects. I am very much looking forward to each of your writings. I hope I have time to go back and catch up.

I hear you and have thought a lot about these situations. I read a book, Die Wise, by Stephen Jenkinson that you might find interesting.
I've also spent a lot of time in nursing homes. Living to old age can be a curse and death can be merciful. In any event, it's unavoidable.
I try to enjoy parts of each day and appreciate how much time I've already been given.
Excellent piece, though I must disagree on one point.

You know a ton about this
I do; Most of what I've learned falls into the category of "things I wish I didn't know."
We all suspect we know the identities of the authors of this evil. I would love to know how they are still breathing fresh air, after all they have done.

Thanks for sending this. It's awesome but sad.
Vaxxes have very little upside. And may have big downside, esp. over the long term.

I'm writing to let those who oppose the madness of the past 20 months know they're not alone. Comments like yours make me feel it was worth the time.
Let's walk on with the herd as well as we can.
One logic I cannot get is that I am not alone. I knew this with sedevacantist buddies back in spring 2020, but I feel alone. Horribly alone
Totally worth it! And walk on, we will WILL!
You are one hell of a writer. For some reason you remind me of D. Keith Mano.
Thanks, Charles. I wish I didn't have any reason to write these.
Please say "No" to the madness as often and loud as you can.
Excellent piece. But I thought that the first time I saw it. ;)
Glad you remembered it. I modified it slightly and re-posted it b/c I didn't have many subscribers the first time I posted it. Now I do, and I wanted them to read it b/c I thought the (true) barroom story metaphor was compelling.

Thanks, Dennis. The herd must walk on.
To say nothing about herd immunity.
Iowa is the only continental state I haven't been to. Maybe I'll get there one day.
Do y'all have caribou?
We have more cows & hogs! LOL no caribou.
