Much of this essay has been my first hand experience this week. While I mostly jettisoned covid fearful people from my life in 2020, there are always relatives. My mom is in a nursing home, sadly, having to rehab from a leg injury. Sat, she developed a cough. Negative for covid but they started giving her mucinex. In a 'sweep of the building', swabbed her again on Wed, positive. Nurse pops in to tell me and my blue-pill sister, who extended her Christmas stay to help out. My sister FREAKED OUT. Mom still just has the cough, and added some muscle aches yesterday. As she is 84 with multiple comorbidities, I am concerned, and asked they would give her ivermectin. Of course the answer was no and she said she would not take anything I brought it as she is a Trump hating CNN watcher. But her cough is breaking up although muscle aches made an appearance today. My sister immediately went out and bought tests, says she is wearing a mask everywhere and using a lot of hand sanitizer. Now refuses to visit mom (they are no longer restricting visitors for covid patients), as she flies home on Sat and is deathly afraid she will get covid. Keeps testing. 3x shots and is probably the only person I know who has not had covid. Told her:

-The tests are worthless, she could have a variety of illnesses that would show up as 'covid'

-There are and will be many strains of covid, not just the 19, the covid virus has been around forever.

-Masks are worthless and nothing more than covid theater.

-Covid does not live on surfaces - handwashing or sanitizer does help prevent other nasty bugs, but not gonna stop 'the covid' (as she calls it) as its airborne.

-Getting some bug is inevitable in HC facilities. Back in the day my kids sometimes got sick within 3-5 days of their physicals - germs are present and save a state of the art HVAC system, you are more prone to getting something when you hang out where sick people go.

-I am just cracking the sliding glass door in mom's room when I visit as ventilation does help disperse it.

-Gave her the Zelenko protocol vitamins and told her to take them and she would be fine. No idea if she will take them, but did my best.

And yet, she does not listen. I thought all of the above was common knowledge. It is in my circle. Keeps calling and texting me that she is freaking out. I will give her credit - she has never ragged on me about being shot-free and does not disparage those who didn't get it. But this switch that flipped in her the minute she knew she had been in close contact with it is a perfect example of how well the brainwashing has worked on the non critical thinking folks. Rather than worrying about mom, she is worrying about herself, and just as well she is leaving for home tomorrow.

And I am not testing. Only test I have ever had was the one before an outpatient procedure last year that was 'required'.

Sorry to hear about your mother,,,and sister,

Called my Dad last night. First thing out of his mouth was "We (he and my step mother) got our shots today!". By that I assumed he meant they got a booster. Then, later in the conversation, he says at their upcoming doctor visit, they will be getting flu shots. He ends with "I don't go out much anymore; I'm scared of catching THE COVID". In my head I'm screaming, but I didn't say anything. Nothing I could say would ever change his mind. AND, on the 16th, my step mother is getting a hip replacement. She's 84. I'm not looking forward to that day.

Thanks! Re: your stepmom - I do have a tale of 2 moms. My MIL is also 84, 5 days older than my mom. Broke her hip this summer when she fell trying to give the dog a bath. Lives in a rural area, has stayed physically active and still plants a garden every year although she is an excellent cook and a little on heavy side but not obese. Everyone ignored covid in her part of the state for the most part, never isolated, she got covid last year and it was a bad cold. She recovered from the hip surgery, went to a care center for ~10 days of rehab and by Thanksgiving had mostly ditched her walker for a cane and by Christmas wasn't using either. My mom, on the other hand has not been physically active for years, stayed in for the better part of 18 months due to covid fear, and then replaced that with fear of falling. Relied on me to do more and more for her. Now she has to rehab but all those years of inactivity have taken a toll. Sadly I am not sure she is even going to be able to go back to independent living again. Its hard watching loved ones decline, but nothing I ever said to her made any difference. She just tells me how jealous she is of my MIL (who is taking 'balance and strength' classes with some other friends of hers to stay in shape, made a copy of the exercises for my mom but she never even looked at them.) Best wishes your step mother gets good care and is able to recover!

As usual, Mark, you have allowed us into your world to our collective benefit- once again I'm thankful for your writing. Because my experience is alarmingly similar to yours. Mine began on the weekend of Dec. 10th- by the 13th I had full blown symptoms similar to yours- fever, sore throat, stiff joints, etc. It was a family gathering I attended and I know exactly where I was exposed. I missed 2 days of work- because I didn't want to expose my coworkers. I got over it and carried on.

You make 2 great points- 1) the ruling elite want this to continue forever so they can use fear to exploit the masses and grow their wealth 2) these viruses are not a real threat for most of us and we normally recover quickly.

I figure I had some variant of "Covid", but I never tested. I upped my vitamin C intake and took tylenol for a headache that lasted 2 days. It's what I did before this scam, it's what I'll do in the future.

I'm over this mess- but I enjoy you sharing your personal experience- it somehow helps me put all this in the proper perspective. It's like a good dose of common sense.

Happy New Year and keep em coming!

Very astute article.

Around Thanksgiving I came down with the unknown illness myself. Annoying cough, headache, low grade fever but no sore throat or loss of taste. Three days of no fun and a few others of this kinda still sucks plus fatigue. I chalked it up to flu after reading a comparison symptom list. Didn't bother to Covid test because so what. Here's the good part. At NY, we were invited to a gathering of Covidians to celebrate. Don't I come down with low grade symptoms again just before ( I run next to ragged 24/7 anyway ). Decided not to go because I figured if anyone got sick they'd be finger pointing, you know, the unvaxxed guy. One of these folks actually had hoped the unvaxxed would die. Point being is that I felt I had to pussyfoot around them all over maybe a cold because of their hardcore righteous beliefs that would have been a nothing burger several years ago. Funny, pathetic, sad.

Expand full comment

Yet they are all jabbed up to the max and their belief system aka religion is still in 2 opposite truths of sorts. I always then ascribe this to the mental illness they now have or they just plain hate people who didn’t jab. I stayed home from a party winter 2021 as I had a sniffle. Covid of the vaxxed went through them. All ok later. I avoided the finger point of blame. Most knew I was unjabbed. Lol. They had shamed me before but then talked about getting Covid right in front of me with no shame on their part. Mental.

Of course they hate people who didn't jab. You can't be proud of yourself getting scared of nothing and anyone who makes you remember this is your enemy. (also they are more brave than you which makes you jealous automatically)

Partly I am reminded of what a successful business model the - I now understand - dubious industry of virology--to-vaccinology is.

Partly I am reminded of Fauci's Nov 2019 turn on c-span wherein he discussed making the flu more scary and "sexy" so as to drive vaccination.

Mostly I am aware of how we are here precisely because, somewhere along the way, too many of us freely gave up our sacred responsibility to access our own inner dialong with The Mystery and instead outsourced it to The Next New Marketed Thing.

My granddaughter came down with the flu on Thanksgiving (per a test done at the doctor's office after several days of fever) which spread to most who attended the feast: me, my husband, my son, and including my mom and mom-in law who both had the flu shot (none of the rest had any shots flu or otherwise). Later, I figured out that she got it from a child at her dance class. The child's mother told me it ripped through her fully flu-vaxxed family!

The thought-form of the All Protective Injection is hard to shake in part because it has been so thoroughly disseminated. But given how little we collectively understand about the complexities of our internal and external biosphere -- and its dynamic efforts toward homeostasis (i.e.the immune response to environmental pressures) -- it is as dangerous as all the other Next Big Things in the aforementioned Religion: the rule of unintended consequences still bites our collective posterior, even as the priests shout louder about the New And Improved version of the Thing. Trying to build the plane while flying it, indeed. That's fine for the test pilots who volunteer, but it's not okay for any self-appointed entity with zero responsibility for negative outcomes to conscript me or mine - or anyone else! - to crash and burn.

Another great article. Plenty of people, and certainly nearly the entirety of the US political/economic system, NEED "Covid" in order to justify their insane behaviors and/or policies. If it is established that "Covid" is an invention (which it is) being utilized for express purposes than the entire narrative crumbles and the credibility of those who have been shoving this down our throats for the past three years crumbles with it. I have to add that this inculdes many of the 'Covid skeptics' who also legitimize the "Covid" narrative but think it "was handled poorly."

Here's an Mark that gets into the details of 'why' the Covid Operation was launched and some of the objectives:

COVID-19: A Global Financial Operation

https://off-guardian.org/2023/01/02/covid-19-a-global-financial-operation/

From article:

"The COVID phenomenon cannot be understood without understanding the un-televised 2019-2020 unprecedented financial collapse threatening the entire global financial system.

The Covid-19 Pandemic story makes little sense when viewed through the lens of health, safety and science. Viewed through the lens of money, power, control, and wealth transfer, however, then all of it makes perfect sense.

...

What this manufactured crisis conveniently camouflages is that we are in the midst of a planned total economic collapse- a collapse which was inevitable.

The timing of the COVID fraud became necessary as world markets were faced with an emergency debt crisis in Fall of 2019 which popped up in formerly mostly liquid markets: Repo Markets, Money Markets and Foreign Exchange Markets.

...

THE COVID OPERATION: THE TROJAN HORSE TO USHER IN THE NEW WORLD ORDER

As the “War on Terror” illustrated, these deep events are constructed to exploit as many different lines of acquisition as possible. With the “Covid Pandemic” replacing the phony “War on Terror” yet another revamped “worldwide crisis” miraculously morphs into a ruling class multi-purpose golden opportunity.

While the immediate necessity was to staunch the bleeding of the global financial system many other purposes were and are to be served by this multifaceted operation. None of this is accidental. All of this is hidden in plain sight, planned and executed as evidenced in multiple tabletop exercises such as “Event 201” and delineated in numerous documents such as “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

The Covid Operation itself covers many objectives:

Pre-emption of and disguising the reasons for the aforementioned economic implosion;

Acceleration of the largest upwards transfer of wealth in human history;

Justification for and entrenchment of the Bio-Security State, including AI surveillance across multiple sectors of society;

Empowering and enriching the Security State’s counterpart the Big Tech Cartel via tracking apps, proliferating and normalizing social media and communication platforms as “the middle man” in all walks of life. Moving all social life towards the technological imperative- meals ordered via DoorDash, meetings on Zoom, increased spending via Visa/MasterCard by ordering goods online with Amazon, films via Netflix etc., were all forced onto a gullible and largely compliant world public during the Covid tyranny;

The creation of “The Pandemic” as a financial mechanism. Manufactured pandemics have become mammoth investment opportunities that increase the wealth of billionaires and further consolidate their power;

Expansion of the public health industry itself into all walks of public and economic life. The public health industry is now directly tied to global markets and financial conglomerates and has become one of the most critical financial instruments for investors;

Creation of an entirely new and lucrative Bio-Medical “health management” system in order to introduce and codify an entirely new Bio-Tech medical model for the Pharmaceutical Industry with a focus on “revolutionary” uploadable mRNA “vaccines”;

Expansion of and normalizing the use of digital IDs, including vaccine passports, connecting these to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC); a Universal Basic Income (UBI) scrip, allowing for the tracking of purchases; medical interventions, “lifestyle choices”, etc. “nudging” us towards ‘desired’ behaviors or shutting us out of the system altogether as they wish;

A re-organisation, privatization and reduction of public services under the pretense of making them “more nimble” for “public emergencies”;

Conditioning the public to perpetual “States of Emergency” preparing them for the implementation of “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

This is the "conspiracy" theory that seems most plausible to me - or does the best job of explaining how the real movers-and-shakers were going to exploit Covid ... and why.

Before I dove deep into the Covid hole, my main "conspiracy" interest was actually my conviction that gold and silver "markets" were rigged to protect the fiat dollar. This theory actually fits with what's transpired IMO. Bottom line for me is that the "magic printing press" (unlimited borrowing) isn't going to produce enough money in the future to fund all the government entitlements and give-aways. At some point, the Powers that Be had to come up with a system that would let them confiscate much more of other people's money. Enter "digital currency." I think the real end goal is to ban cash transactions. So Covid gave us the infrastructure or logistical foundations to expedite this process/goal - via "vaccine passports."

But what really scares the people in the know is the impending economic and financial meltdown, which they have been successfully covering up for years and decades (that's why they have to rig precious metals markets - unrigged gold and silver markets would create the "Canary in the Coal Mine" message that the fiat system is dying quickly). Because they control all the important organizations and the media, they've been able to "kick the can" for far longer than even I thought was possible. But they know at some point even this will not be possible any longer. That's when they have to have the digital currency.

Now whether Covid was "invented" or created to achieve this aim, I don't know. Maybe ... or maybe it was just another example of a "crisis" that they didn't want to waste, and that they knew they could exploit.

"Covid" (the brand) does give them a great scapegoat, and kept attention away from the real issues. It protects them from any blowback wherein large numbers of people might identify the organizations and policies that actually created the economic calamity.

Bottom line: The people who caused the economic meltdown are still going to be in charge of "fixing" this catastrophe.

The next day I came down with the same thing and spent the day in bed... first thing my mom asked was "did you take a Covid test?" NO. We had covid in February last year. The only reason I tested was curiosity at odd symptoms (my husband had a standard cold where I had an ice pick headache and nothing else). My mom ended up getting sick as well and first thing she did was run out and take the covid test only to find it negative. We just accepted the sick day and rested, which was good because the next day my body decided it was time to have a baby! Of course my parents spent the next week sending articles about babies and the danger of the flu. Like I should be quarantining my brand new baby girl away from us. She didn't get sick, we all managed to get through things fine, the panic about the illness however from our family was ridiculous.
