When anyone I know is complaining about the new inflation, I ask them if they followed the COVID restrictions. If they did, in any way, I tell them this is on them. If they respond by saying "what could I, just one person, do about it?" I say "said 8 billion people".

Or maybe just 6 billion out of 8 billion people.

But yes, that's a good observation.

It wasn't just Trump & Biden.

Here in Australia, we had exactly the same policies - on a smaller scale in absolute terms, but proportionately as bad or worse. Our government changed hands last year - but it wouldn't have made any difference who was in charge in 2020, because both major parties championed these policies (while bagging the other guys for not doing it as well as they would).

And now we are seeing some actual analytical articles about the damage this did to our economy, along with comments about how we couldn't have known this would happen!

I'm no economist, but it was obvious to me: you can't just shut down all economic activity, and expect the country to prosper. And the rest!

There's yet another baffling aspect of it. When do people finally see politicians for the people that they are? How many more hundreds of years of observation does it take to face what has long been known?

Politicians deserve nothing better than, "shut up with your campaign contributor talking points and do something that remotely *represents* what's best for common people for a change!"

I wrote similar about our experience here in Japan. Yes, it seems only an economist could believe that stopping all economic activity would not have a devastating effect upon the economy. And, it was the world economy that was shut down, not just the US’s, Australian and Japanese economies.

Government will always let us down…only Almighty God will never let us down. The “one world govt” is already in control. It is pure evil. Folks need to wake up to that and the fact that Trump is one of them. The monsters who orchestrated and controlled the plandemic, the countries/media/corporations who marched in “lockstep” to implement lockdowns, masking, the death shot, etc. ARE in control. They own the U.S. govt and govts around the world…and have for many decades. The only way forward is to resist and noncompliance. There’s no where to go to “hide.” The Maui arson and murders have demonstrated just how far the OWG’s reach is and underscores that there are no lengths to which they wont go. Yep, the govt devotees are many but those of us who choose freedom are many more. My husband and I did not comply the last time around and got thrown out of a hospital, a UPS store, our doctors refused to see us (thanks for showing us where you stand!), someone tried running us down in a supermarket with a buggy twice, and on old lady got in my husband’s (he’s a veteran and ret. leo) face and berated him for not wearing a mask (so much for her “social distancing”). The list goes on but we refused to be muzzled and we refused to perpetuate the lies.

The bottom line here, folks, is that God is sovereign and He is in control. Because of that we needn’t fear anything. If Jesus Christ is not your foundation you will not be able to stand against the wiles and onslaught of the devil. “…choose this day whom you will serve…”Joshua 24:15. Turn—or return—to the Lord God your Creator and find refuge in Him alone.

The Covid money was given to local governments and hospitals so that they would say what they were told to say and do what they were told to do. The local corrupt governments grifted the money and gave their friends contracts to do things like build empty tent hospitals and plexiglass. Of course the local officials got huge kickbacks from the contracts. If they wanted to keep getting this free money, they had to keep repeating what they were told, and to keep things locked down as they were told. And also let people out of jail because “Covid.” And give violent criminals PR bonds so they never went to jail. The breakdown of society. Same with hospitals. It was about getting free money to follow orders which would break down society and the economy.

Worth noting that if Trump had really opposed these draconian restrictions, he could have ended them. How? Cut the federal funding to governors and mayors who locked down. As president, Trump had the authority to do this at any time. Along with firing Fauci and a lot of others and ending the government's emergency powers.

RE Nichols,

Please only take this in the friendly spirit of discourse, as I intend it to be.

Yes indeed to firing Fraudci, Scarf Lady, etc!

Reading Gert van der Bossche's & Michael Yeadon's letters, & the Great Barrington Declaration & watching/listening to the hours of testimony taken at Senator Ron Johnson's Committee Hearings with Dr. Kory, Kheirity(sp?), Aaron Siri, Bern, Dowd, Dr. McCullough, Dr. Malone, Dr. Merik (lost his State Certification last month, BTW), Dr. Zelensky (of blessed memory) & I can't even remember the names of how many of the other brave heroes who were there (all still available on C-SPAN), would've gone a LONG way toward nipping in the bud the tyrannical nightmare that ensued. But......nobody in Trump's inner circle of "trusted advisors" shared any of that with him, & must've actively colluded to discredit or keep such info from him for a very long time.

He finally must've gotten ahold of some real data, because he hired Dr. Scott Atlas, but by then, it was far too late, & massive damage had already been done, & the Fear Porn fix....was in.

BUT, I will vehemently disagree on the removal of funding by the Federal Gov. from any State for a specific whim, for that is just massive Fed over-reach, & we do have a 10th Amendment.

Now, using the awesome 10th the correct way, also means that I am in favor of whacking at least 50% (for now) of the bloated Federal spending on the States, ACROSS THE BOARD over a 2-3 yr period, & of instituting both a Federal & State - Office for Removal of State/Federal Redundancy & Inane Regulations, or something like that with a better name! There's more, but I've already blathered enough on this one.

We can do better, IMNSHO.

Handing large amounts of money to officials as an incentive for locking regions down is government overreach.

Well, I must've missed that part, cause I don't remember the Feds handing out money to the local Governors or Mayors to lockdown specifically. Monies were massively & erroneously spent to keep people from working & in my mind, to destroy independent, small businesses, but I must have a hole in my head on the direct funding to the States for "locking down".

The only thing I do remember was the threat to cut Medicare/Medicaid funds if the CDC Hospital, Iatrogenicly Deadly KungFlu Treatment & "Allowed Medicines" Policies were not rigorously adhered to.

People live in varying degrees of desperation nowadays. Many want Trump back because they focus on where America was until those fateful 9mos before the election. People want a return to life pre-2020.

The same people that insisted Trump is a 3D chess playing genius now say he was fooled. Bamboozled by the black swan of covid.

Trump has had many opportunities since his departure to say what needs to be said. Instead, RFK Jr is saying those things while Trump doesn’t even hint or give so much as a glimmer of introspection into the Pandora’s Box of Marxism he opened March 2020.

I know what it’s like to be robbed. I owned a small business in a nice suburban shopping center and one day found myself with a pistol aimed at my head by an angry unmasked youth who then cocked the hammer of the gun and held it there for over a minute while his accomplices smashed my cases and robbed close to $100k in inventory. Told to lie on the floor I was sure I’d be executed.

Covid was a different sort of robbery, more sophisticated with a much higher bounty. At worst I might die in the comfort of a hospital while being ransacked as opposed to going out in a muzzle flash. But I managed to be spared both times. Thanks to robber barons galore who’ve gotten away unscathed I fear the next generation may not be so lucky.

Those evildoers suffering from terminal hubris may do well to remember, all graves go unattended, eventually.

Just a little warning: I do not trust RFK Jr although his aggregation of vaccine harm has been valuable. He is still a liberal progressive democrat, and a climate change hoax supporter.

I agree. Sorry I wasn’t clear. While I pointed out RFK is saying what I’d expect Trump to be saying that doesn’t mean I trust RFK’s motives. Many of his positions are too tightly aligned with the entities salivating to put their boots on our faces. I think he’s a Trojan horse. Probably doesn’t have a chance to win but can pull votes away from the opposition.

Your article here brings up two issues which have bothered me the most outside of the blatant robbery -- the things that enabled it and the result of it.

First, it was so easily enabled by the slightest bit of a guilt trip upon people which clearly have zero ability to be honest with themselves. More specifically, go ahead and tell me what kind of meaningful relationship you have with "grandma"?

"Hi! How you doing?" chit chat once/twice a year or less? I've known and seen too many people to buy the bullshit. Sure, people mean to do more but, gosh darn it, just can't seem to find the time.

The wife and I drove 5 hours to regularly visit her grandma until she died last year and, wouldn't you know it, we visited more often than the people that lived within half an hour. And this is for a grandma that wasn't in a nursing home.

That's the first thing that bugs me the most. The second is related to your closing paragraphs.

The stolen lives as collateral for the absolutely insane level of fear, cowardice, and risk aversion. That can't be paid back. Ever. Period. There is no amount of compensation or "making up" for that. It was a direct expense of selfish idiots that have forever invalidated their opinion at the table.

Further, most of such people have not even confessed to their heinous and atrocious cowardice and even aggravated insistence on the destruction they caused out of their irrational fear. And because of their inability to even be honest with themselves, we now hear about this insanity returning.

I’ve been in many assisted living facilities through my job. The population is made up primarily of old, forgotten people. Either they have adult kids that live out of state, and can’t be bothered to relocate or they have nobody at all. I’ve seen them drooling on themselves in hallways, drugged up to the hilt. Speaking to themselves. The people that work in those places for the most part could care less. The lucky few that have relatives close by, that actually do visit and spend with them witness this neglect first hand on every visit. Nobody cared about these people until it was politically helpful. And the ones that like you, did make an effort to visit with elderly relatives that fell for this, forced those relatives to dis alone, in isolation, selfishly and needlessly. The entire thing was a crime against humanity.

Another excellent piece.

"Covid-19" has never been about an epidemiological emergency it is about providing cover for the collapse of the financial system. There are many other elements to the operation but I'll leave it there.

The “Covid19 response" was designed for redistribution of wealth aka THEFT (from the poor and middle class to the insanely rich; Pharma making billions in profit and introduction of mRNA gravy train; Constant bailouts for the financial sector and so forth.

We are in the midst of the largest transfer of wealth to the investor class in history.

"Covid19", the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Great Reset etc. are all massive frauds to create a series of monopolies, cartels and oligopolies that govern food, energy, healthcare and the most basic parts of our lives.

Covid is not nor ever was a medical emergency or even a distinct clinical condition- it is a business plan and a criminal conspiracy.

As always Mark, I love your writing style. The only thing I would add is that the plan to impoverish the many and enrich the few was in NO WAY an accident. It was the PLAN all along. It is always the "emergencies" that are the excuse (or the distraction) from the actual theft. In this case, it was the theft of most of the world's economy to advance the slavery of the world. MOST of the printed money was used to purchase controlling interests in the major corporations of the World, i.e. Apple, Exxon, J+J, Meta, IBM, etc. to be given to the bankers (Vanguard, Blackrock, State Street = all one company by ownership) to control. In addition to the facts mentioned in your excellent article about people not being aware of the cause of inflation, they were (and are) unaware of the theft of the world's economy despite it being explained in the pages of the Economist magazine. It is a profound loss that all of the media of the world are in effect controlled by those same people. To think that you and your compatriots in Substack and a few other podcasts (like Joe Rogan) are the ONLY independent media left is terrifying.

Given the "trial run for Covid-19" in September of 2019 sponsored by the Gates Foundation, it beggars belief that the "Pandemic" was an accidental lab leak. There was WAY too much to gain for the Masters of the Universe in charge of the world's economy to leave that to CHANCE! It was planned and that means that the "Lab Leak" was planned. It is actually a biowarfare act. The combination of the huge gain in wealth and power for the already wealthy and powerful and the effective subjugation of most of the world, PLUS the drive for a fully "digital currency" enabled by the "Pandemic" almost proves the conspiracy. The principle objection I hear is that it is "too terrible" to imagine people being so evil. Well, I have no problem imagining that because History is a strong guide. Machiavelli's "The Prince" is a good primer on what these people are willing and have been willing to do. NO morality at all.

we are at war in both a physical (biowarfare, propaganda and financial war) and a spiritual sense (the devil is literally in the details). Prayer is our first weapon, but reaching out to like-minded souls and practicing our practical skills like gardening, cooking, purchase of gold and (most importantly) developing the contacts and the help networks to perservere in the face of this evil.

May God Bless you and Keep you from the Evil one!
