A vacuous people get more childish every day. The decorations start earlier and get more elaborate every year. Remember they scare mongered that just going out for trick or treating was super dangerous the last 2 years. LOL.

There is not much hope once a cult gets started. The mask and vaccine cults are by far the worst in history. We imagined ourselves as "enlightened" and "scientific" and we went back to bird beak masks with incense smoke, and thinking that a 12 foot diameter bubble of air moved perfectly with us in the grocery store and didn't overlap with other bubbles.

Ah yes, the Black Plague and it's inane healers in the bird masks and big robes. They knew it was useless then, but they did it anyway to give the seething masses peace of mind. At least they had quite the entertaining get-up. Vacuous is a great word to describe people of today. I always think of them as the idiots on top of the building in the movie Independence Day, holding the signs and welcoming the destructors.

I remember the razorblades in the apples Halloween scare in the late 60's. Might have been part of the LSD hysteria. No more apples offered, sold more wrapped candy.

Expand full comment

Yup. I just mentioned this last night. I’m behind on my reading. There were straight pins in an apple of mine when I was 6 (in the 60’s). I guess the razor blades were too obvious! With fentanyl now found in boxes of malted milk balls and sweet tarts, I’d be afraid to even let my kid trick or treat but somehow their fear of Covid goes to the wayside because of belief in these vaccines!

We had trick or treaters in 2020 (area in a lockdown), nobody came in 2021. It's got more dangerous because of crime in our neighborhood.

In my quintuply-jabbed family of origin (I alone remain unjabbed), 66% are now having noticeable, acute-onset cognitive issues. These are my beloved parents who begged me repeatedly to take the poison, breaking down in tears because they were sure I would die. Now, one year later, they are no longer mentally capable of handling a conversation intelligently. All kinds of neurological problems that affect their ability to think and communicate. It's so heartbreaking. I never could get through to them, and I now I have to sit here and watch them turn into zombies. My life is a literal horror movie. I tried and tried and tried..... just as they did. You see, they wanted to save me, just as much as I have wanted to save them. And I broke their hearts because I wouldn't do what they begged me to do.

This is like the most sinister and evil plot against humanity. They couldn't just kill us quickly with bombs or whatever -- no; they had to do it slowly and torture us and make us have irreparable falling outs with beloved friends and family members.

Cruel!

Mid-size law firm guy here - "(I alone remain unjabbed)" I cannot report "acute-onset" cognitive issues but 4, 5 colleagues - early 60s mostly - I have heard signaling, dropping hints about cognitive decline, memory issues, etc That age still counts as "early onset" - but once it gets normalized, in a year or two I bet that boundary now gets adjusted down (I think it is "officially" so to say, age 65).

Expand full comment

And that is exactly the thing. So much normalization going on these days. "Even kids have strokes!" etc.

One of my sisters who is in her mid-fifties and quintuple jabbed (true believer) claims all of her memory issues and brain fog are due to her long COVID. Well, who actually knows about long COVID? I'm not saying that is not a thing, because I don't know.

All I do know is that I know several people of ALL ages (some in their twenties) who are definitely not the same, mentally sharp people they used to be. And they have all taken the poison shots. I don't know anyone besides myself unjabbed -- I can't be a control group of one. But I'm not having any health issues, and I'm old enough to have a few wrinkles.

Expand full comment

"Kids have strokes too" was the wording I remember - it appeared mid-2021 e..g. on bus placards in Toronto. We can together be "control groups of one" - tho, come to think of it, I know only one other; had hopes for a few more, but not so. Probably my oldest colleague - 72-ish - reports 48+ hours in bed "after I got my covid booster on Saturday" ("didn't feel well at all"). I have found that shift to possessive pronouns quite chilling "my shot" "his shot" "my mask" etc - for the last it was quite evident "a mask" to "my/your mask" -- that's the psychological operation in action right there - I bet prompting that shift was minutely planned out and executed.

That is scary! I’ve never seen ads saying that. My extended family lives In Peterborough. None of my older cousins are vaccinated, so you’re not alone. Sadly, the younger ones had to be jabbed to keep their jobs.

What did your parents want to "save" you from? Could they say? Not the "macro" level--"You could die..." because you will...as will I, but the micro level? What exactly did they want to save you from? A bad cold/flu?

Expand full comment

My parents believed that this was a deadly, "novel" virus with no treatment whatsoever, and that if I should catch it, I might die. They thought I was being foolish for not taking a harmless, safe and effective vaccine which they believed was a smart thing to do, and they also believed I was being selfish to remain unvaccinated, because I might spread disease. They also wanted to save me from falling for "Russian" anti-vaxx propaganda, because they feared I might be led in a far-right, Trump direction. And they hate all Trumpers (TDS) and I'm sure it was very troubling/cognitively dissonant for them to put me in the same basket as the people they are told they are to hate and shun.

Omicron changed their attitudes somewhat, but it wasn't really that Omicron changed their attitudes in Spring of 2021, but rather that our state and county leaders pulled back on the harsh rhetoric and decided to table the idea of vaccine passports.... as fewer and fewer people wore masks and as time went on and they saw that in fact I have NOT caught and died from this deadly virus, they are no longer scared to be around me, they no longer force me (and me alone, being unvaxxed) to mask in their presence.....

They are elderly and I do some necessary caregiving for them a few times a week, so they would be shooting themselves in the foot to destroy the relationship.

They were overcome by fear and the TV propaganda. They still are, but they have been reassured with the passage of time.

I, too, have wanted to save my loved ones from being jabbed. So I "get" their strong desire to try very hard to convince me to do the thing they believed would save me from death. We do really love each other, and that is what makes all of this (these lies) so destructive and painful.

The worst LIE of them all: ASYMPTOMATIC SPREAD did the most damage! Making our loved ones and friends think that EVERYONE MUST HAVE the virus, regardless of having ANY SYMPTOMS…???…and will spread it!

Wow. Thank you, Dani, for the detailed and heartfelt response.

I have really struggled with this as you can probably tell from my question. I am truly, truly unable to understand the "clinging". Also, I must have asked about 5 million times to no avail -- "What are the 𝒔𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒔 that the best doctors in the best healthcare system in the world are unable to treat?" I never got an answer...

As for this being a "novel" virus, the second part of my question was, "What difference does the source of symptoms make? Doctors treat symptoms, yes??? And take a multi-pronged approach to helping people recover, right?? They use more than one medicine to treat the varied symptoms of these illnesses..."

Again, I am at a loss. I, too, never got the "deadly" disease from the "novel" virus. Thank you again, Dani.

Expand full comment

Well, and additionally, I was conventional for most of the decades of my life, and became a serious natural medicine student about 10 years ago. It was through that study that I completely changed my views on vaccine efficacy and safety, so I already had a head start on that when COVID hit. I also had a huge arsenal of herbal remedies and a full understanding of how to treat the body's illnesses naturally. I also knew about Ivermectin and when the TV started calling it a "horse dewormer" and mocking its use -- absolutely I knew something was up!

The whole idea of this being a "novel" virus -- and to which that implication was "OMG our immune systems will not work against this! We have no treatments! A lot of you will die, and no one is safe!!!" -- that was preposterous! But my family just lapped this nonsense up from the TV.

It's so horribly sad that all of the people who were so fearful and ignorant that they did not realize they already possessed functioning immune systems which, if properly supported, could work to heal the body of any illness -- were frightened into taking poisons that may irrevocably damage the intact and functioning immune systems they did not realize they had.... and end up with the very thing they most feared. While I am probably going to be OK, and the last one standing in my group. Who knows?

Try to enjoy and love the people in your life for as long as you have them. "Suddenly died" IS a thing.

One of the heart people is a young mom in her 30's who is a nurse and had to be injected to keep her job and now her heart runs away with her and she will be on meds the rest of her life. I too have noted the growth in Halloween decoration with concern. I looked it up and found that people now spend in average of $102.74 per person on Halloween decorations, a new high.

I've also noticed the decorations have increased in size. Yesterday I saw a finely detailed 10-foot high witch, along with the usual monstrous spiders and spiderwebs covering the fronts of two-story homes. Apparently you can hire a firm that takes care of this for you.

It puts my plain baseball-sized pumpkin to shame. I thought I was getting with the program with my little pumpkin, but now realize I'm making a political statement.

I used to do some minor Halloween decorations and Christmas and spring etc but once my son hit a certain age figured he could give two shits about decorations. I’ve worked in a retail setting for almost 40 years and the barrage of bs that’s shoved down our throats around spending $$ for holidays has sucked the soul from me with this regard. Advent begins the fourth Sunday before Christmas and lasts until December 24. This time period denotes prayer, fasting and penance, preparing for the coming of the Lord.

Yes, agreed! I did buy some papier mache decorations about 10 years ago and they looked antique. Love them. But, I decided to skip the Halloween crap because that is for kids. I do find

Día de los Muertos most interesting in the Mexican culture. November 1st in the Celtic culture as well, when the supposed veil between the world of the living and the dead was at it's thinnest. All of this implies some degree of spirituality, which most nations, especially this one, is seriously lacking. Some cultures are very ancient and have the beliefs to go with them.

You make an important connection here. Yes, more folks should know about VAERS, and how it is likely a gross underestimate of the real damage. Talk about horror, fright, and mayhem.

But more than that, you begin your piece with this growing trend of adults co-opting what has traditionally been a kid holiday in the US. Adults celebrating Halloween, watching superhero movies, reading comic books, playing video games, and just generally not growing up directly contributed to the covid scam. A real adult makes rational risk/benefit calculations and knows that life is ephemeral.
