If it weren't for substack authors like you, Mark, and the many wonderful commenters here, I am not sure how I would be doing. Things were very bleak at the beginning of 2022, when I discovered Substack. The validation from knowing that there are others out there who also saw through the scam was necessary for those of us who value connection with other humans. There was no validation from the people I know in real life, so those connections were damaged or destroyed, quite suddenly and without much warning. As you said, you were stunned and disheartened. But being of a certain age, and having had prior experiences such as stealth menial labor, we are able to put some perspective onto it. Thanks for another great one, Mark.

Thanks, Dani. Accompanying people is why I write.

In March, 2021, before the clot shot was available to most, I warned my 6 adult kids and my siblings not to get the shot, because people were dropping dead after getting it. Nobody listened. My brother, an MD, said he had read the PEER REVIEWED papers and so he was getting it. One son said he consulted with several doctors that he trusted, so he and his family would get it.

They had the chance to open their mind and consider what I was telling them, to look at my sources, but they refused.

I am a curious person, I love to learn and I love new information and new ideas, no matter how impossible they seem. I don’t have to believe everything I read or hear, and it doesn’t hurt my feelings to hear new or different ideas and points of view.

So I don’t understand the close minded. The best I can explain it is that their very identities are dependent on who they follow. If they were to break away from group think, they would not be themselves. I really don’t know.

There was some degree of hate and dismissal from some of them, just because of my opinions.

Expand full comment

Exact same for me.

I think you've identified the main reason: "their very identities are dependent on who they follow."

This desire to stay in the safety of the herd is a powerful force. Debbie Lerman says people wanted to do "the right thing" and got psychological benefits from the perception everyone was pulling together to help everyone else.

The Narrative Controllers knew they could exploit this desire and did so.

Nobody was helping Grandma or their younger neighbors by complying with "the guidance."

"Doing the right thing" was the wrong thing ... and dangerous.

We live in an outside-in world where people are mesmerized by the latest bauble du jour. True living imo comes from an inside-out perspective where you take time to truly reflect and question society's dogma and how it relates (or doesn't relate) to you. Sadly lacking in today's world.

I am very much like you, with the curiosity of a five-year-old. The whole world is interesting to me. I am smart enough to know that I'm not very smart, so I search out wisdom where I can find it. I am grateful that I discovered Substack in time to learn the truth about Covid and the shots. At first, I was like most Americans. I believed what I was told. Many of my siblings are in the medical field, or work for the government in a sideways-kind of way, so they all took the shots unquestioningly. The first Substack I read was Alex Berensons's, and it grew from there, each new read leading to another writer. Immediately my thoughts on the whole situation changed, but I could change no minds. I am so grateful to Mark and the many other writers here at Substack. They may literally have saved my life.

Thanks, Double.

It has been brutal. Thank you for this.

After the holidays I have more news of my heavily boosted family and friends' and, as expected, many more injuries (a turbo cancer, thrombocytopenia, various neurological issues, GI issues, and so on). Apart from one red-pilled family member, no dot-connecting. Still some mask-wearers!! No discussion other than an occasional, "thank goodness I had my vaccines or my [7th] covid would have been so much worse."

These first days of 2025 find me still working on getting my mind around a couple of conclusions and all that they imply. One is, while I may feel isolated, I know now that there are many like me who saw through the con from the beginning and we're not going to shut up and we're not going to go away. The second conclusion is, almost all of my family and long-time friends, well, they're just not who I thought they were, and I can't rescue them. They have to rescue themselves. And they apparently won't or can't do that.

About your janitorial attire: Funny, it reminds me of the lack of capital letters over at Bad Cattitude in that it turns a lot of people away, who don't know what they're missing.

My very best to you for 2025.

I like Gato a lot. But what principle would he compromise by capitalizing? It makes his stuff harder to read.

It was such a simple decision for me: my next door neighbour woke up in hospital after his shot and will be on medication for myocarditis for the rest of his life and my sister-in-law had a stroke within a week of her shot. Concerned friends and relatives insisted the shots were safe and effective and i deduced they had rocks in their heads. My very ill husband and i just lay low, like Bre'r Rabbit. He died anyway, but not from covid or vax injuries, at home in his bed.

Expand full comment

So sorry about your husband.

Thanks for sharing your story. Back at the first roll out, I couldn't figure out why people were so avid to get jabbed with a Warp Speeded God-knows-what's-in-it when it had been obvious to me for a long while that the authorities were lying, many large pharmaceutical companies had a long record of engaging in fraud and malfeasance, and the mainstream media-- huge neon red flag-- was not asking the most basic, Kindergarten-level questions, just parroting Dr. Fauci, basically. The way the people around me were discussing things, and reacting to my basic questions and concerns had me thinking too that, as you so colorfully put it, "I deduced they had rocks in their heads." For many people I think the Bre'r Rabbit strategy was a good one, especially for anyone who was ill at the time, or caring for a loved one who was ill. I suspect there are many more Bre'r Rabbits out there.

We could all learn so much from each other's stories if we would just slow down enough to listen and empathize. I have often wondered if my NOT being on fakebook or tiktok or whatever saved me from being inundated with propaganda. So many people that I knew who literally RAN to get injected were big social media users. I am sorry that they were so easily persuaded. I tried to tell people from the beginning that pharma is a criminal cartel. Did not matter. I even had friends who said they did not trust the government, but they trusted the CDC. I said - the CDC IS the government!!! They would just look at me with that blank stare that I have come to know so well these past 5 years. Like Isha says - they have 'rocks in their head' and only they can remove them. I give up. I also have been so very grateful for the substack community - y'all remind me that I am not alone in this nightmare.

I know many people who STILL don’t know and the frustration/outrage of watching my own daughter take it then vax her kids to the max while I’m on bended knee praying they won’t be one of the “chosen ones” to be autism’d or worse….while I cannot say one word about it…well that is a pain reserved especially for a grandmother. Whenever foreign genetic material (aborted fetal cell lines, SV40, mRNA) is introduced into our bodies, our God-given immune system says FIGHT and fight it does, even unto death sometimes.

This whole evil thing was conceived in darkness by the prince of darkness who would love nothing more than to lay waste God’s created beings. The Bible foretells about a great deception that will take place near the end of days. I believe wholeheartedly that this is the beginning of it.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13

My husband walked away from his stellar and award winning government job of 38 years because we KNEW IMMEDIATELY that this was an absolute NO.GO for us. They watched that happen. This thing is so evil. Thank God they have not withheld our grandchildren from us - the filthy unvaxxed.

Expand full comment

I assume at 38yrs., he was able to retire? I don't mean to lessen his decision at all, but I'm always so incredibly impressed by those with the faith to have been able to walk away from jobs and sometimes even careers at an age where retirement was not an option. They had families to take care of and still walked away ... into the unknown. God bless them. I was retired. My wife (walked out) retired earlier than planned because of the masking, before the needles came out.

It's heartbreaking. A dear friend of mine did not want to get vaxxed. She's a very spiritual person and sincerely wrestled with this. Her entire family, including her physician husband, rallied against her and refused to include her or let her be with her grandchildren. With many misgivings she relented.

Since then, she's had numerous health problems. At first, she didn't want to make the connection but talking the other day, she told me that she links her deteriorating health to the vax. Her family is blind to all of this and they continue on their merry way not seeing that they are indeed killing grandma. My dear friend; my heart breaks for her in so many ways and this story repeats ad infinitum across millions of families.

AFAIK, only one of my adult children took the clot shot - my ultra fit youngest son, a US Marine. (He recently took a new post in Viet Nam, and on a moment's suggestion ran a half marathon with two new USMC buddies.)

He told me he did it, because of the pressure to do so, and the promise he could stop wearing a mask.

But they lied. Even though he took it, they never let him stop wearing it (until it became obvious many months later.)

In my community FB group, when I posed questions, or pointed out facts, well known, like years of testing before authorisation, I got put down, ridiculed for having no qualifications and being audacious for doubting the miracles our scientists pulled off. There was the competition between Brits and USA, Astra Zenica and Pfizer, who'd get over the line first! Moderna was not in this race at the time. UK gave EUA to Pfizer first. All this speculation got Joe Public on board to cheer for a team and make them gleefully countdown to when their age cohort would be eligible for the magic juice! Most of the community still believe, which is sad, and there has been a few deaths and many illnesses, but no connection of dots, alas.

I turned away from FB during COVID because of posts like this one: a long-time high IQ female friend married to a medical doctor posted a photo of the transparent plastic sheet they had hung across the room to separate themselves from each other because.... her husband was working directly with COVID patients at the hospital. This photo was posted in the most virtue-signalling way, also "setting a good example" to show the rest of us how it's done, of how they were depriving themselves of marital touching EXCEPT they decided they could play footsie through the plastic sheet because I guess COVID germs are not on the feet (who knew). I was then done and just didn't look at FB again until quite recently. (Thank goodness for Substack, haha)

I think that most people have their everyday reality worked out to a predictable pattern. And part of that 'pattern' is trust the 'trusted sources'... which include mainstream media, doctors, etc. So when the 'trusted sources' told them what was up... they just went with it. Schools want obedient students. And parents want the same. CONFORM please... is the message. But a better message would be: 'QUESTION EVERYTHING'. But that would be too hard to manage. So some people get it. They are the outliers. So when you try and tell people that the 'trusted sources' were wrong... they look at you like you have 2 heads. Or at the very least, like you're crazy and demented. Will this change ? I doubt it. It seems to me that the powers that be have things just the way they want them. An obedient population that doesn't question everything. (Happy New Year ! 2025 will be insane !)

because they can't think for themselves, they would cease to exist without their "trusted sources." It is a matter of life or death, when you try to make them open their eyes to the fact that they chose to support the wrong team.

Creating a playful name that incorporates the phrase "died suddenly" can be a fun exercise in wordplay. Here are a few suggestions:

Diana Sudden Lee - A twist on "died suddenly," with a first name that sounds like "died" and a last name that plays on "suddenly."

Sid Denny - A phonetic play that sounds like "sudden" when said quickly.

Diedra Sudden - Combining a first name that resembles "died" with a last name that directly references "sudden."

The mere fact that everyone started hyperventilating about "covid" was enough reason to dismiss it as total bullshit. Mark, Wherever you are in the USA, think seriously about retaking the bar examination and practicing law again. You will get a ton of business. I'd hire you today and I can pay high fees.

I like working outdoors, building, farming, cow chasing, drawing and painting, writing and so forth. I appreciate the authentic satisfaction one derives from making good things and working in nature.

But your highest calling is fighting inportant legal battles. In my experience, most lawyers are corrupt (and I have had some experiences.) You are honest and think critically, in company with at most 4% of all lawyers. You could be winning some legal victories, both objectively important and very important to people whose rights have been destroyed who are then left to the tender mercies of the "legal profession."

Writing your subscription blog can be satisfying, but only makes marginal differences because those who read you already agree with you. You have the ability to have far more beneficial impact than you can achieve on your present pathway.

I hope you'll think about this. I get it would not be not an easy low-cost decision.
