Hey, I love Substack. But it’s come to my attention that for the first three hours yesterday, Substack incorrectly formatted my Scamdemic Haiku poem so that all of the stanzas ran together. This made it harder to read. I found a way to override Substack’s formatting error. Since then, I’ve posted a more readable version. I’d link to the revised version but Substack seems not to enable writers to link to their own posts.
Another thing I noticed is that when posting a "comment in response" to an article, Substack takes all the paragraphs you separated and eliminates the spaces hence posting the response as "one" long paragraph.
I don't know if wearing thin disposable gloves while typing is triggering this disconcerting problem. 😁
mine came up right. May be I was later. But whatever you write and whatever format they put it in, it will be good, and I will read it. Thank you so much for what you do. (when I saw that 'I love substack' for a second I thought you were going to quit!!!)
"In the meanwhile, take your fifth booster, wear your mask, get tested, and disinfect your delivered groceries. We’re all in this together. To crush the virus, I mean. Because Science!"
No worries. My safely and effectively "fully vaccinated and boosted" 90 year old mother is ON it.
😉
Not a joke. She disinfects every doorknob I touch. Has stripped the paint off every wooden door...
Potential override. Take successive photos and load photos. Takes out the sweat equity in dealing with substack text format, granted... if it works. :)

Mine came out just right. I love it and am reading it again and again.
It came across to me in separated lines so easy to read, no problem. 🧐
Hi Mark. There is a "poetry block" option in the formatting toolbar. That allows you to retain the formatting you want for anything. Hope this helps.
Oh, so arriving late to the party DOES have its benefits. Winning!
ah...just in your sign off I laugh..
I did think that formatting was weird but since I'm a complete failure at poetry and the like, I didn't think it mattered!

C’mon Man! Substack is just trying to not waste paper!
Actually, Mark, I read that far enough to note your correct syllable count and thought, he must know the form....
All you have to do is paste the url for the Substack article on its own line in your post, and Substack will create a spiffy preview for you :-)
Hope this link works:
