Thanks for your comments. Based on these and some research, I have found that I will need to charge about $22 (postage included) for an all-cotton shirt, which I can make available in men’s or women’s styles. White ink, on a black background.
As I would get the shirts printed from a Net-based company, I can’t vouch, in advance, for the texture/quality of each shirt. Nor would I be willing to accept returns. In general, fulfilling a large number of transactions seems very unfun, will consume precious time and presents a distinct possibility that I’ll lose money during this process, because I’d have to order a minimum of 200 shirts to get a discount big enough to sell at the price stated above.
I’m chiefly interested in this project as a form of activism/expression of solidarity. Therefore, breaking even or losing a few hundred dollars is OK with me, because I’d lose it serving Substack subscribers. But I don’t want to lose more than that. Thus, before I order, I need a carefully considered, honest show of hands on who would buy how many shirts on the terms expressed above.

At $22, are you in or out? If all goes well, you might have a shirt in two weeks, though some of that is out of my control.
Thanks for LMK,
Mark
Mark,
Good on ya' for doing this!
ALL my t-shirts have sayings or are in support of an issue....all with the overriding theme of FREEDOM!
May I make a serious suggestion that you put the name: "Dispatches From A Scamdemic", &/or your own name & substack address on the back? Not only can you write off the expense as "advertising", but I would be proud to have that on there, & it will then be very easy to answer all of the people I meet who'll be asking me - "Where did you get that shirt? Who's Oshinskie?"
I will purchase the following for me, & other friends:
Men's -
3 L
1 XL
4 Shirts = $88 + tax & shipping of?
How will you be handling payment?
You rock, brother!
First thing Mark, well done for going down this route...I'm sure there have been and will be others... but they are probably in it for other reasons. Secondly... as a now 'retired' (for some years) business owner involved in mail order and putting things in packets and sending them off, I concur that it is time consuming and brain numbing...and I did it in the years when things were simple, so why not ask on the stack if there is anyone out there willing to take it on? You just forward the orders and they do the rest. There are plenty of VERY supportive folks who read your stack who I am sure have spare time and would love to feel they were contributing...unfortunately not me for various reasons including that I reside in the UK... and on that note are you contemplating being able to ship to your old enemies from Boston Harbour??
