Thought-provoking. Re: the vax euphemism, it's interesting that this may actually ultimately do the opposite. I am not the first person to suggest that the negative impact of this "vaccination" campaign may actually make many people rethink the more traditional childhood vaccine schedule.

I also like the idea of analyzing what really happened with covid by looking within our own networks. My anecdata: Most of my current acquaintances are other young families, but obviously there are also grandparents and aunts and uncles and friends. I know of no one who has died of covid, fewer than 3 that have been hospitalized, and none who died-- including 2 who are over 90 years old. Many of us had covid, most of our kids were asymptomatic. Among those I know who were vaccinated, one suffered a miscarriage and another a stillbirth. One (in his 20s) now has an irregular heartbeat and now wears an afib monitor. One died of cancer (in 30s). Another cancer patient was told it had metastatized (in 30s). Perhaps coincidentally, after a family member I live with was vaccinated, our entire family fell very sick for the first time in a year. I've heard of this happening several times now by people who say, "Well, they caught something at the pharmacy where they were vaccinated."

Prine was a hilarious "example" of death by "COVID" ... in his 70s and having previously had surgeries for both lung and throat cancer ... but "darn this deadly disease"!

very true. I know 3 people who died, all in the hospital, 2 over 90 and one already there for another life threatening illness, and 4 family members of a friend, all octogenarians with other conditions. I know 2 hospitalized, and all the others, more than 20, did not need doctors or hospitals. Several of them older as well. I know 1 who died from the shot, old as well, 3 who were very sick and several with minor issues. Followed the news closely and saw 5 of 50 governors of the States getting breakthrough cases, several other famous people, the Jacksons, Newsom, etc same thing, and at least 40 sportsmen and women who got injured or died from the vaxx. I will live without it.

You touch on something very interesting and that has been on my mind a whole lot since summer 2020.

I agree with everything Mark says about the media, in particular TV, advertising, PR, and propaganda. It's not only true now, it's been true for a long time.

But I don't care what anyone says, there **IS** something very different about this covid thing. And while that can be partly explained by the internet, especially it's speed, I still think there is more to it.

I'm a boomer, 60+ years old. I grew up in the 1960s and 70s. We had this little thing called The Bay of Pigs. And from there nukes became a big thing. Lots of news coverage, lots of attention, lots of discussion by "experts." And it was everywhere, in all the media of the day, TV, newspapers, magazines. You would have had to been living in a remote cave someplace NOT to know about it.

Now, anyone who lived through those times can tell you it was beyond terrifying. We lived through a time when some politician, either in another country or own counrty could launch a weapon that would wipe out humanity and render large parts of the planet uninhabitable for hundreds of years. It was a very real and immediate threat.

Yet, no one paniced. People did not retreat to their homes and hide. They continued living as usual.

Something is **different.** All the talk about safety and "feeling safe," "safe spaces" and all that was already rampant BEFORE the pandemic. The propaganda simply tapped into it.

Do we have a population that is so afraid of "something out there somewhere" that any bullshit the media hypes will galvanize onto any target? Covid, flu, tse tse flies, marauding packs of squirrels that eat human flesh, the Easter Bunny. . .?

'What are people so afraid of'? is an important question. But 'Why'? is even more important. Or put another way, why was the possible end of humanity and instanteous destruction of the planet not enough to make people crazy with fear and a virus with a .02% mortality rate is?

Life has never been safe. And anyone who thinks we can somehow make it safe is quite simply mentally ill with paranoia and fear.

Something IS DIFFERENT.

Sobering stuff Mark. Critical thinking is desperately needed but sadly missing in our society.

This piece made a similar point today…

Spot-on. Canadian here. I know one 2nd hand-covid death (my university roommate's ex-husband's mother - 80s) and two cases (the ex hubby, who I know, and his brother; both got it from their mother, and both recovered easily). I know two, first hand, vacs injuries with strokes - neither can work yet, and it's been months. I know one, 2nd hand vaxx injury - heart attack (former sis in law's hubby). All vaxx injuries in their 50s.

Mark, Well done, as always another great thought-provoking essay. Thank you. And it rings so true to me.

In my law firm focused on estate planning, we have about 50 clients die a year. This total annual number has not changed much from 2017 - 2021. Most are older, many in nursing homes for some period before. Others are heart attacks, cancers, etc.

An interesting thing we looked at in 2020 & 2021 is that we have seen 5X the number of deaths from suicide (in younger <50) and depression (>70) than we have from covid. I'm guessing the vax deaths are higher and understated too but part of the problem is when someone over 70 dies from anything they don't ask the question. I can only hope more awaken to what seems obvious to me.

Hey Mark...I sent this article to a friend. Here was his response, "What a refreshing, common sense breeze that article blew into the room. Thanks for that."

I personally know more people who have died of the incredibly rare disease of ALS (5 people) than of Covid. I don’t personally know anyone who has died of Covid though have heard of a few that people in my circles know.

Never thought that an apocalyptic virus would ever need so much reminding...

Americans and Europeans are so stupid to believe that the media isn't propaganda....

But even people from eastern Europe and Russia somehow forget that when they come to the USA.

It's like the spells we think are hyperdimensional or spiritual are actually just psychological tricks.

Excellent post. I read the interview yesterday with Robert Kennedy and it was horrifying. This is one of three books I plan to buy and read.https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/robert-f-kennedy-jr-the-real-anthony-fauci-gates-mercola/?utm_source=salsa&eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=e8a50eb6-4e38-4d8b-945f-d270c0ef81b8

agreement. personal addendum, I cried for John Prine and would like to believe he would have seen through the propaganda had he lived. In addition to the song you quoted, Flag Decal. Paradise. Sam Stone. He was a man who saw uncomfortable truths and made them into catchy singable songs.

I only know one person personally who died of Covid. He was 83, in the early stages of Alzheimer's and fully injected with MRNA. I'm a big fan of John Prine. He was a hell of a songwriter. He lived a lot longer than he himself expected to I imagine.

The protocol here was to spread out injections (3-4 months between shots earlier this year) due to shortages. I honestly think that saved a few lives. But, I also know docs have to go thru local medical officers of health to report suspected adverse events. And the gatekeepers turned them down in several cases. So likely a combination of both factors.
